FOX HOLLOW ELEMENTARY
Tool Day is a career-education activity where your children have the opportunity to learn about different professions. We’re looking for volunteers to talk with the students about their career and share some of their “tools of the trade”. These “tools” include anything used on the job that can be shared with the kids--they’re curious about everything!

If you or a family member can participate in Tool Day by talking about your career in four different classrooms, including those of your child(ren), for approximately 15 minutes each, please complete the bottom of this page and return it to your child’s teacher by Friday, March 16, 2012. We will call you to confirm participation and give you details.

Sample 15-Minute Presentation Outline
1. Introduce yourself and your career.
2. Briefly describe an average day at work.
3. Tell about any special projects in which you may be involved.
4. Explain how you use the tools.
5. Share any safety messages related to your career.
6. Let the children ask questions.
