Beginning:   Tuesday and Thursday/8:10 am to 8:55 am.

There is a yearly fee of $200.00 payable to the school.  Students will need to acquire their own violin.  These can be purchased at any local music store.  The stores also offer instrument rentals at a very reasonable rate.  The school district has a limited amount of viola's and cello's for rent on a first come first served basis.  There is a yearly school instrument rental fee of $80.00 payable to the school.

Bonnie Heaton will be our orchestra teacher.  Please feel free to call or e-mail her with any questions you may have.

  1. My 10 year-old son takes from Ms. Heaton, and he thinks she's wonderful! I'm excited Fox Hollow will be having orchestra. It's been a great experience for us.

  2. So how old/what grade do you have to be in to participate in orchestra?

  3. Hey everyone like LJ Lee I would like to know how old or what grade do they need to be in order to participate or if they need experience in able to be on orchestra?

  4. They do not need to have experience in orchestra to be in the beginning class. Usually it is 4th grade - 6th grade who participate in Orchestra but I will check with Ms. Heaton to find out what age group she will be teaching. Thanks for your interest.

  5. With Ms. Heaton at Hayden Peak it is 3rd grade.

  6. Who would I contact in the district about renting a cello? Thanks!

  7. Mrs. Heaton is doing 4th-6th grade this year at Fox Hollow.

Mrs. Heaton's information for Orchestra is posted on the blog.
